sad news guys, legendary film editor sally menke passed away yesterday amid record breaking heat here in LA. for those unfamiliar with Sally, she was a long time collaborator with Quentin Tarantino and was directly responsible for a whole new direction in the editing community. i mean guys, she edited Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill and the severely underrated Death Proof. i wanted a place on my blog for her because she really did mean a lot to cinema. here are some videos in remembrance of sally menke and an interview with editors guild magazine.
